Momentum Reality
Software and automation for a growing real estate practice
Ongoing engineering work for Momentum Reality: building and automating the internal software the team runs on day to day.
The engagement
Momentum Reality is a real estate practice whose day-to-day operations had outgrown spreadsheets and manual coordination. I work with the team as their engineer, building the internal software they run on and automating the processes that were eating hours a week.
The approach
The first pass was not code. It was sitting with the actual workflow and finding where time was disappearing: information rekeyed between tools, follow-ups tracked in someone’s head, reports assembled by hand every week. Only then did anything get built.
What followed was a series of small, shippable systems rather than one large rewrite. Each one solving a named problem, each one in production quickly enough that the team could tell me whether it was right.
The work
- Internal tooling to replace manual, spreadsheet-driven tracking
- Automated data flow between the systems the team already uses
- Reporting that assembles itself instead of being compiled by hand
- Infrastructure and deployment set up to be maintainable without me
Where it stands
The engagement is ongoing. New work is scoped as the practice grows and finds the next process worth automating.
